Adam Bloomfield - Assistant Asset Manager

Adam began his financial career in January 1998 when he joined Canada Life within the insurance field. He soon became a senior administrator responsible for dealing with insurance bonds linked to private portfolio funds.

At the beginning of 2000 he moved into Canada Life’s investment division and joined a team dealing directly with investment work. Whilst his responsibilities included technical support for over 700 private funds, performance queries on 50 mainline funds and six-monthly reporting on 40 broker funds, he also undertook to develop a number of information systems to become essential tools for the team.

Having acquired the experience in dealing with a range of investments, a period of study in 2001 led to him successfully attaining the Investment Management Certificate.

In December 2002 he joined Ashcourt Asset Management and became a trainee Asset Manager in the newly established Winchester office.

Amir Ali - Assistant Asset Manager

Amir started his career at Axa Equity & Law, where he stayed for 12 years. He worked as a Unit Trust Accountant as part of the Unit Trust Team within the investment department.

Amir moved to Lawrence Graham Investment Managers to take up a position of Operations Manager, where he spent 2 years. During this period he qualified for his Investment Managers Certificate (IMC)and IAQ.

His current role at Ashcourt is Assistant Asset Manager in the London Office, where he works as part of a team managing private client portfolios.

Stephen Walker - Investment Analyst

Stephen graduated with a Bachelors degree in Economics from Exeter University and then successfully completed a Masters degree in Finance and Investment. Stephen acquired his Investment Management Certificate in November 2000 prior to joining Ashcourt in February 2001. He has passed Level 2 of the Chartered Financial Analyst program and will shortly be sitting the third and final level. Stephen is responsible for investment analysis of bonds and equities as well as maintaining a Best Advice List for Investment Trusts. He is also heavily involved in the day-to-day management of Ashcourt’s collective investment schemes and development of Investment Strategy.
