Neil Hale Neil Hale started his career in 1987 with Kent-based accountancy firm
Spain Brothers & Co, where he qualified as a Chartered Accountant
in 1993. At the end of that year he left to join Cripps Harries Hall
solicitors where he was responsible for the management of the firm's
financial and management accounting functions. In September 1997 Neil
was headhunted to work as the financial controller for niche stockbrokers
Lawshare Limited. Lawshare specialise in providing dealing, custody
and research services to private client asset management firms, such
as Ashcourt Asset Management, and it was here that Neil became familiar
with Ashcourt and its business. In 1999 Neil was promoted to Finance
Director, and at the same time took responsibility for the company's
dealing and research departments. In 2003 Neil became a member of the
Securities Institute. Neil left Lawshare at the end of 2004 and joined
the Ashcourt Group in January 2005 as the group financial controller
